Do you watch, or have you watched, The Office - English or American? About a week ago, I thought I'd give it a try, starting with the first episode. I find it very funny. When I finish all nine seasons, I'll look for the English version.

I've watched a few episodes when there wasn't anything else on but I found Steve Carell annoying.

If and when you watch the English version, with Ricky Gervais the original creator, you'll realize what a waste of time the American version was.

It really is a Marmite show. You either love it or hate it. There is no in-between. Personally I found it cringe worthy, but I know of many who almost wet themselves looking at it. Welcome to Slough.

The British version was my favorite. The US series did propel some of the cast into stardom.

I always thought it was a little over the top and didn't ever watch but something like 5 minutes from time to time. A lot of annoying scenes in what I saw. However, they showed a clip at a safety meeting I attended a few days ago. One of the characters set up a demonstration about office preparedness in the wake of an emergency and it was side splitting! I still haven't changed my mind about the show overall, but will have to admit there is some good content in there.
