Go-fast car with drum brakes - not fun to stop. I’d move up to 1963 but those get real pricey.

If you are suggesting going to a 63 to get disk brakes they still had drum brakes. Disk brakes came out on the Corvette in 65.

When I think of the old Corvettes and muscle cars and then I think...electric cars are starting to take hold in this country.

That's what most people say. When you buy one, the novelty wears off pretty fast, especially if you bought a used one back in the day. My brother bought a used one back in the 1960's, he had it about a year before he sold it.
