(sorry please read my edited version)
All Major stores, by major stores I mean KEH, B&H, Adorama, & WB Hunt to name a few and there are more will take items that you wish to sell (of a photographic nature). As the film industry for 35mm cameras is slightly behind the times due to the digital age , alas it's equipment has also been devaluated.
All is not lost though, you may consider bying into a system that will allow use of your existing lenses. You will lose auto focus and a lot of the new cameras bells and whistles but still focus and shoot in the manual mode.
IF you want a new camera and decide that you want to utilize the system to it's fullest potentials for starters look into a packaged or kitted system of your choice.
I digress from your question.YOU CAN go online and google these stores and follow thier prompts about trade in equipmet.
If you want go on E-Bay as well to get a feel for the what simular equipment is being sold for. Perhaps you may want to sell your equipment here.
At least this will give you an idea of what you can expect to receive for your equipment
I personally can vouch for the above mentioned dealers as to thier integrity as I have used all that I mentioned.
I think that KEH out of Atlanta, GA. is the closest to you! They are very good and after examining your equipment, it dosen't fetch what you want just refuse the offer.! I hope this will help you somewhat ! PS
You may place an add in say a local newspaper on the off chance that someone who collects your brand of camera may be interested. Lastly if all else fails and I shudder to say this try a pawn shop. Best of luck!!! 8-)

unfortunately unlike nikon minolta/sony olyumpus or pentax Cannon changed their lens mount so that older film lenses don't fit on cannon dslrs. a regular poster on this site bought about 2 months ago a nikon f-4 and a 50mm lens in excellant shape for $30.00 not a typo. at one point that was the standard camera i for the pros. i just 2 nights ago went through ebay listing for nikon film cameras just to get an idea of what prices stuff was going for, it is horrendous. cameraS that set the standareds for photography can be had for less than the price of a pizza and six pack. my advice is either keep your film cameras and occasionaly run a roll thru, donate the equipment to a shelter for abused children to hopefully spark interest by the youngins, or find someone who wants to learn photography and give em your stuff. despite what the film fanatics say ( i still shot film when i can afford it, im just not in denial about its eventual near extintion.)

I'll buy the film, maybe the AE1P and would be interested in which lenses you've got.
