Steptoe Butte in the Palouse

The highest point in the Palouse area is Steptoe Butte State Park. Because I was driving, I will get a picture of the butte from my wife when she decides I am worthy. At that time, I will post it because it shows that this butte is relatively unimpressive until you realize that there is nothing else around.

The shots posted today are from the top of the butte shot from all points. They cover 360 degrees. The sun's position creates lighting differences. Also, I shot with both my 24 - 70 and 100 - 400 lenses.

I hope that this set gives you an idea about the expanse and variability of this area.

Thanks, Ken! I am awaiting delivery of an external hard drive and then will shift photo files and have room to process more shots (especially the panos).

I appreciate your comments, Carol. She used her point and shoot Canon, but usually gets good results. It is just a question of her priorities.
