Experimenting with ND

I have had a 3 stop ND filter for a year, and it has been neglected. I have seen many wonderful photos taken with them so I decided it was time to start learning to work with it. I went to my favorite place, and took a few shots.

Nice photographs! As I see it though what’s good for water is bad for foliage. In other words movement in water looks great (especially #2) but the blurry grass looks strange. You might consider moving the camera in front of the grass and eliminate entirely.

#1 for me. I don't really care for the blurred grass in the others though they are nice images, too.

I agree, although part of me likes the weird grass blur. I chose the spot mostly for a convenient available bench, I was not so sure the process would give any good results. I was thrilled when some of the shots were worth sharing.

Thank you for the feedback, it will help for future attempts. I look forward to working more with the ND filters.

What is interesting, is I have the set on FB, and it is #3 getting the most attention. Thanks for the feedback, Mike.
