During our summer vacation we went to see the Devil's Tower National Monument, it was truly an impressive site! We did not get to spend as much time as we had hoped due to the skies opening up and letting the hail fall! We were actually 1/3rd of the way trough the 1.5 mile hike when the storm hit, luckily we found an overhanging boulder we took refuge in until it passed.

My wife and I went there several years ago. It's a fascinating place. I have a piece of rock from there also.

I would not advertise this, as it is only a rock but being a National Monument may not be ok to take. Reason being is if everyone who visited took a piece of a place with them what would these places look like? A million visits like that and the park would be changed.

Add to the fact it is sacred ground for Native Americans.
