In my initial trip into the Palouse, after our first encounter with the wheat fields (https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-602048-1.html), we went to a couple of state parks that are not typical of the wheat fields, but had an appeal of their own. This was in the afternoon of our first day in the area so the sun was not great, but we could not wait for the better setting sun angles.

The first park came up on the road right after our first wheat fields. It is the Lewis and Clark Trail State Park. The second park is the Palouse Falls State Park.

Awesome series. Mike. I particularly like the waterfall shots but all are great.

Great series Mike. Excellent compositions, especially like #5 with a hint of a rainbow?

Beautiful photos all UTMike. Love the photos of Palouse Falls. Has anyone been to Stepto Butte State Park? 20 miles north of Colfax. Great vantage point to photograph the Palouse (360 degrees from the top). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steptoe_Butte Or just google it.

Thanks for the tour, Mike. I was there 2 years ago. Your photos beat mine, hands down. Don't know what the problem is but I've never been able to photograph water falls.
