This is fun Tilde...this last one is liquify...the first was not. Do you have photoshop elements? Cher

Nope :)

I have Picasa (no comparable effect there), Lightroom3 (no comparable effect there either) and Gimp 2.6 (no liquify there either! *smiles*)

I'm glad this thread was started else, it would have been some time before I found reason to play around with things. I need motivation... "purpose"... sometimes lol
It's great to see you, CountryMama and the promise of others having fun with it, too!

You're getting close!

But I MUST say... this is AWESOME to me!!
I love the more simplistic effects... very calming and soothing and for ME, I'd frame this one!!

Pretty! :)

(a hint to whomever said "Liquify" I didn't use liquify, lol In fact, I don't have a program that has liquify on it at all! That was my first thought about what she did)

Ok now I am curious. Because that is exactly what I used.

I will give you one hint about how I did mine... but I really want the thread owner to spill the beans when they are ready.

Mine has two different effects employed to achieve the results... and in order to make it more like the original poster's pic, I would have needed to make some adjustments and variety in the sizes of one of the two effects.

I really don't want to tell the secret completely since it's not my thread. I'm sure you understand... although the suspense can be a killer!
I'm not even sure I did mine "right"!

However, I think if the whole point was to get us to think out-of-the-box and be more creative with our "art"... they are ALL "Right", yanno?

Yes, but now I am back to the drawing board. Unfortunately all I have is pse, and that might not be what they are using.

The blue was a failed exercise LOL

I asked some kids to play with glo sticks in a darkened room... thinking they'd swirl them around gracefully... but alas... they're 8 y.o. boy and girl... so NOTHING graceful about it LOL

They shook them violently and I took the shots.

You guys (Ladies) are GREAT! I had never even thought about this kind of thing before! This is so cool! I think the psycho-analysts could make better use of these techniques than the antiquated ink spots! :P
