Here I used a 500W work light that was about a foot away, in order to stop this I used my nifty fifty at 1.8, 400 ISO, and 1/200th of a sec
these are all around the same timing, I first used 1/200th of a sec but then realized I needed to go up to 1/500th of a sec just to stop the water splashes, here I was using my 18-55 at 3.5.
this is stopping the wave action
To create these splashes I first used a baster of water, then I started using small rocks, luckily I didn't scratch my wife's good pots, lol
This is the first one with a rock, still same settings but I was hand holding now, I had my brother drop the rock(s) on my command then started shooting continuous until after the splash, I had to first find where I wanted him to drop the rocks and to focus there
This is two rocks at once, the first one hit closer than I wanted but made a cool out of focus splash
This is my favorite after that whole shoot, sorry to keep going, I just had so much fun with this
This one shows you my set up with the pot and the pie dish underneath to prevent spillage, once I got everything in place I filled this to the rim
A wave coming at my camera
I don't know if you'd consider this to be stop it or move it

Sailing, which is one of my greatest passions
Stopping the rain
Sorry here is my last one, really got too carried away, i'll stop it now!!!
