If I ever looked in the mirror and asked that about my day, my boss would never see me and I'd get the sack. However, I endeavour to persevere.

This is so true, it's like walking on eggshells at times. You can make an innocent remark about almost anything and it is immediately taken as a personal insult against her. I have a tip for some of you guys and this works fine for me. Buy a Camper Van and tell her you don't like being cramped up in it. If your missus is same as mine off she will go as happy as Larry, many times a year.
