Wonderful images; however, I have seen many images on the Hog that could have easily competed. Eagles (Regis), Hummingbirds (several photographers), Owls (several photographers), and numerous others of our little friends.

Much of what was featured could have been done by many on UHH. However, in my opinion what set these images apart was the lighting, exquisite in some instances, birds active and interacting in some way, some level of anticipation by photographer and the position of the camera/ lens when the shutter was depressed. Made all the difference between simply a very good bird picture and interesting and exciting bird photography. It inspired me to be better.
