Couple weeks ago I took a trip to Cork Screw Swamp to see the 'Super' Ghost Orchid, posted a few photos showing the orchid (at a distance) including the NatGeo camera setup around the tree. As said before, if ever in SW Florida, Cork Screw Swamp is a must see.

Nat Geo now has posted a video of the Rare Ghost Orchid and its quite interesting. Attached is a link for those who care to view it, enjoy, its quite fascinating and one heck of a lot of work.

I think I will pass on going to see that one in person.
Except for my pool I pretty much reached my quota of wadding in water when I was in the Army.

It clearly shows the amount of work that it takes to get evidence or the shots that create the evidence. It makes you aware of the time and effort and the massive amounts of images they had to take in order to get that one or two 'iconic images'. This is not 'spray and pray'.....not even 'lets visit there so I can get that image'.....Knowing so much about your subject is just as important as 'the shot'.

One of the problems for a 'photographer' is that we see so many great images and expect to be able to take similar shots, on a sunday afternoon with that 'fantastic' camera we bought.......(and the video never mentioned the hours of photoshop it took).

Something to keep in mind when you research 'what shall we shoot today'?

great video and thankyou for spotting it.
