This was shot with my iPhone. Since this was the initial meeting between my Grandson and his first dog, I didn't want my hands full of camera, in case there were problems. It appears they hit it off. Now I look forward to having these two friends as subjects for years to come.

Thanks to everyone that stopped to take a look. I'm really looking forward to helping raise and train this dog and seeing my Grandson's joy in the process. Both the pup's parents were imported, the Mom from Germany and the Dad from Czech Republic. The Mom comes from a show background while the Dad is titled in Schutzhund. I plan to share photos of this journey.

Your grandson has a very long term best buddy and protector. There is no better all around dog than the German Shepard. The last one I had was back in the late 60's, but I still remember and miss him; even as a pup he was very protective of our son.

The GSD is the most loyal of dogs.Ruffian was my wifes dog. Or perhaps my wife was Ruffian's person. This dog and this boy will be best friends.
