Hope you don't mind my adding what I meant by being a stickler on sharpness in the eyes and faces of the creatures..maybe before any effects are added you could try to sharpen them a little bit more...but I am just an amateur..so what do I know? Here is what I mean by sharp eyes on the creatures...

Thanks for the critique, this is how we all learn. I don't specialize in nature photography but in Fine Art. This is what I was faced with when I took the picture.
1-Wanting two butterflies in the picture.
2-Maintaining reasonable sharpness for both with a Macro Lens.
3-Highlighting the the flower with was the central theme.
4-Turning an ordinary photo into something Extra-ordinary!
The program I used actually softens the butterflies but maintains the details.
Attached is the original for your critique.
As an added note-complete sharpness is not always the answer, focusing on an area can have a dramatic also.
Your photo is very nice and sharp indeed. But...you had the advantage of a complete side view.
