Today I experimented using a 1980's era AF Nikkor 35-105mm lens on my D610 using the lens's Macro feature. I think that lens compatibility is the major reason that I stayed with Nikon when I went digital ten years ago. What do you think, did these shots turn out good?

Great old glass images from your D610. Images work. Very nice.
yes turned out good, but seem not to be as crisp as newer equipment shots,.... but do they need to be, only you can answer that. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Thank you, the lens came attached to the N8008 that I inherited from my father. He traded his F2 in for it.
Yes, they did turn out well. Nice job.

Cool, nice set; I have that very same lens, (very sharp copy)......since you were shooting with macro setting engaged, the main issue I see is extremely shallow DOF....probably a focus stack set would be ideal. On sharpness - As Mr. petercbrandt stated "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
My $.02
Beautiful and the color too
Very good, but a very narrow depth of field.
I would say -- Job well done.... Very nice work on those flowers....
The experiment was a success!
