The D60 is extremely outdated now. It was the first of Nikons "introductory" DSLR cameras and requires the AF-S lenses as it has no AF motor drive in the body. They are available all over for pretty cheap these days.
Nikkor 18-300 mm VR is good

I have the Nikon ED AF 70-300mm f4/5.6 D for sale to help me recover my costs for the 28-300 I just bought. I want $150 for the 70-300 if that is of interest to you then PM me, it is like new condition, I never used it. I also have an 18-70mm Nikon and the new Piezo Tamron 18-270 mm VR for sale.

I have a Nikon D60 and really like it. I bought a second camera back used from B&H so I don't have to change lenses. I have a 70 - 300 telephoto lens as I do nature photography. I know the D60 is dated but until I learn every aspect of the camera I won't invest in a newer model.
I have a Nikon D60 with a Tamron 70-300 Macro lense ($199). Also have the kit 15-55 and 55-200, a Micro 60mm which is great for micro (or is it macro) and a 35mm. May be outdated but unless you plan on changing your camera every 3 years any camera will be outdated. I bought the V1 and P510 for more mobility. But I use the D60 mainly for landscape, portrait and green screen and HDR (manuel, no automatic AEB)
green screen
hdr 35 mm
hdr 200 mm
Will the lens fit a D60 Nikon? We are missionaries to Brazil and we are in the States for my wife to have knee replacement surgery.

Ahhh the D60 is a different Nikon body. The lens fits ALL Nikon bodies of course, however, these are the bodies the lens will work with and how it will work.
Compatible with Nikon D7000, D3, D300, D200, D50, D70, D70S, D80, D90, D100, D200, D1x, D2x, D2xs,
D1, D1h, D2h, D2hs, F4 series, F5, F6, F75, F80, F90, F90x, F100, N50, N55, N60, N65,
N65QD, N70, N75, N75QD, N80, N80QD, N90, N90s, N90x, F401s, N2000, N2020, N4004s,
N6000, N6006, N8008, and N8008s cameras.
NOTE: Works in manual focus only on the D40, D60, D3000, D3100, D5000, and D5100 series cameras, from what I understand. Not having a D60 body to try it out on I can't say any more than this for sure. I also have a D70 body with original box and paper work in case that might also be of interest to you.

I have a Nikon AF 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 G that I no longer use. I purchased the 28-300mm lens so I have no use for the 70-300. I comes with UV filter. works perfectly. I will sell it for $100. plus shipping to wherever you are.

Keep in mind the standard 70-300mm lenses WILL NOT AUTOFOCUS on your D60. You MUST have the AF-S type lens if you want the autofocus to work.
Thank you, I really want auto focus. I have not mastered manual yet.
