Some Nature from This Morning

I shot these this morning (7-18) on the way home from a doctor’s checkup. Best viewed in download if you care to.

Please note that I am not and have never considered myself to be a nature photographer. For me, these are lucky shots, taken from the road with my Sony a6000 and a 55-210 lens cranked all the way out and severely cropped. I am learning to love that camera and its images.

The buck was over 350 yards away, and the birds about 150.

I like the egret in flight.

John,
I would say those are very good-especially the Egret flying.

Isn't it is great to just have the camera and the opportunity! I have a lot of "far offs" out here - I usually set for spot metering, don't know where you were. Good fun.

Yeah, it is. I also spot meter. It’s the way I “grew up” and can’t shake it. Besides, it works for me.

Thanks for sharing those grab shots. They are terrific both the Buck and birds. Hope you got a good report from the Doctor.
