with an outfit called Process One located in Overland Park, KS? I have several rolls of color print film that I shot on my trip that I'm looking to get processed. I have used Darkroom; have looked at Dwayne's Photo and have used Replicore. Process One's prices are considerably lower. None of these companies are close to me, so shipping cost has to be included in the thought process.

I you have experience with them - good or bad - I'd like to hear about it.

Where in AZ are you? What is wrong with CVS, Wallgreens, or Costco? You are not Richard Avedon or Annie Leibovitz are you? Pitty you did not shoot B&W film then you could process it yourself. I always process my own B&W film. Color fidelity and Printing not initially critical to me because I scan the film and fix everything in Photoshop. Then if I find an image I really wanted printed I send it to a professional or any good lab as a file for printing.

Do note in general that I have seen other people who have had prints done by various labs claim many labs do better work on larger prints (>8x10", 8x12"), 11x14", 10x15" on up. possibly because the large to huge ones are done manually to some extent to set up the computer and printer, and adjust the image, but small ones are just automated machine prints. But this can vary depending on the actual services provided and paid for. If you are on a strict budget remember photography is an expensive hobby. Model trains and auto restoration likely exceed it.

Process One is pretty close to me.
I’ve used them for E-6 processing and printing in the past.
Been very happy with the results.
Never had C-41 processing done there, though.
I was impressed enough to apply for a PT job there a few weeks ago, since I retired from the university. Should hear back soon.

That's certainly encouraging. If the do E-6 right, they can certainly do C-41! Hope you get the job.

I think you have misunderstood my specific question.

Experience with what.... The subject title too general. why not add "film processing" to the subject title. Words do not cost much and add so much.

Go to Search at top of the page and type in "film processing" and you will find a long list of the subject already covered. Perhaps reviewing those will be helpful

You were not misunderstood, you just did not give information pertaining to the subject. Better to give too much info than too little.

Beware, this is a very hot season and if you send the film by mail they may overheat. Perhaps better to use a next day delivery.

I do not know if Costco is still developing and printing film. I use them for my prints and I am satisfied with the quality.
CVS or Walgreen do not calibrate their printers which are usually handled by people who know nothing about photography. Perhaps they are good for developing but do not trust them for printing.
Millions of labs in this country that can do the job.
Google is your best friend.

In the Age of Film, I always delivered my film directly to the Post Office. Periodically finding the Post Office in an unfamiliar town was a part of our vacation experience.

"Does anyone have experience - with an outfit called Process One located in Overland Park, KS?"
Seems pretty simple question to me.

Yes, I apologize, I was actually thinking about the title of the post.

It was a bit lacking in detail...
But we read it.

I don’t know if UHH has changed the way searches work, but I think the way it used to work was based on the title. The title doesn’t say “Process One” so if anyone else tried to do a search on it, this thread wouldn’t show up.

I’ll check.....

Nope.
