What could be more relaxing than to sitting in a comfortable chair, on the deck, camera on a stable support and capturing images of birds in the back yard?

That's the way I do all my shooting in the backyard. I usually sit in a comfy spot, nibbling on a cold one, while my camera does the work for me!

I posted the images to show that unconventional and inexpensive methods can often be more than adequate to handle the job at hand. A little creativity goes a long way.
Over the years I have had much of the expensive photo gear and although some of it is indispensable mostly what you get is bragging rights.

Beautiful Captures. The Red Headed Woodpecker is amazing. As for the cold beer, I'll bring a few with a couple of bags of nuts and pretzels for us to enjoy.
Oh wait! The little chipadees will want some. I'll bring a huge bag of seeds. That'll make them chirp their brains out!
