Great shots with good clarity, color and composition. These are some great old sheds that deserve preservation for nothing more than for their photographic value. You did them justice and I really like how you reigned in the PP work........

Thanks. I tried different effects.....even HDR tonemapping I guess you call it, which I love on some photos, but it didn't add anything to these.

I should have said this much earlier, but if any of you have any old buildings you'd like to add to this thread, I'd love to see them.

And one more

"and one more" is absolutely perfect & would look great properly matted & framed. As to cropping, every photographer's view is different -- that's what makes viewing others' work so interesting. If you have doubts, shoot more than one way to review results later. Whether to frame tight or far is an issue with midwest and western barns as well. Each has its place, depending on the subject and whether showing additional context works. Also don't be afraid to get up really close to show fine details and textures in that old wood. Neat stuff.

Thanks for your comment. Actually I did only minor cropping on these. I shot them to fill the frame although I know it could be a problem if I wanted to print and frame them. And I agree with you about different views for different photographers. That's one thing that's finally sunk in from reading the different comments on the forum here. It's nice if everybody likes your work, but everbody isn't going to, so in the end, I take pictures and edit them to please me. Although I do appreciate the comments about trying this or that because there's always room for improvement.

All very nice - I like nostalgia too. # 3 gives whole new meaning to "wrap-around porch".

The textures and details are brought out nicely in you photos.
