Canadian sites have Internet addresses of the form *.ca, but I have never seen the country name abbreviated. Within the United States, “CA” is universally understood to stand for the state of California.

I told my wife at breakfast that Sony was announcing what was supposed to be the successor to my Sony a7Riii later that morning in a webcast that I was going to watch. Her hand started to shake - she asked how much it was going to be - I said about $3400 to $3500. It really started to shake. I said relax - I'm still learning the damned Sony menu system after 35 years with Canon. What I have figured out so far on the a7Riii still amazes me - I can only imagine this new one.

The most amazing recent photography gear has to be Canon's new 470EX-AI flash. It automatically swivels and tilts the head to work out the best position for bounce flash. If you switch between landscape and portrait orientation, it will automatically move the head and reorient itself to maintain the original bounce flash orientation.

Does anyone have any thoughts about computer capability to handle the large file sizes. My MacBook Pro (Retina) has the following info (which I have only an elementary understanding of): Processor: 2.6GHz Intel Core:7. Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB. I store my photos on external drives. Can't afford to buy the new camera AND a new computer. Thnx for any comments.

My response was to the initial thought that CA referred to California. Please forgive me.

Tracey - not to worry - that's what I thought, too. Cars in CA have different requirements than the rest of the USA - so that accounts for a small difference, in price. But, a thousand bucks difference for a camera doesn't make a whole lotta sense. I suggest - to avoid potential confusion in the future - all references to Canada - should be abbreviated as - Can. - the way it used to be.

That is what I have and I expect that at full 61MP that I will be able to take a sip of tea inbetween actions, for the computer to catch up. Ath the 256MP it might crash the computer. Only guessing here. That is why I would like to rent one first. Or, take my SD card with me and shoot a few shots in the store and then PP the card at home.Maybe one of the evaluation sites will tell us about the computer actions.
