Going to an Apollo 11 Trivia Fest? This may help.
July 16-24, 1969 - First Manned Moonlanding
Amid the 60's Vietnam War, a couple of assassinations, bra-burning, Beatles, Woodstock, and the "Age of Aquarius," Apollo 11 reached to the heavens and did what no man has done before - successfully landed on the moon and returned to Earth, safely. Apollo 11 marked the culmination of the free spirited 60's.

I promise this is my last Apollo 11 commemoration post, its 50th anniversary, until 2069.
Here they are. Good Luck. (No Googling, please) Thanks for participating:

I think I only knew "Uri" and "Hasselblad." The thing is I watched the Moon landing when it was happening on a 9" B&W TV on a boat with my parents and a friend (the boat owner).
As to NASA trivia I remember Gemini 5 and Apollo 13 more as things went seriously wrong on those. Those Hydrogen-Oxygen Fuel Cells are pestkey technology.
I've got one for you and I did hear an explanation of but not sure if it is to be believed. Right before Neil Armstrong re-enters the LeM after his first Moon Walk he says something non-sequitur, "Good Luck Mr. Gorsky".

Re: "Good Luck Mr. Gorsky," right from the horses' mouth "Apollo 11 Lunar Surface Journal," it's a hoax. Here's the verbatim explanation and the link:
[During November 1995, a clever (and slightly risqué) story was widely circulated on the Internet concerning a statement Neil is supposed to have made during the Apollo 11 EVA. At the suggestion of several readers, let me state that Neil never said "Good luck, Mr. Gorsky" at any time during the mission. Indeed, on November 28, 1995, Neil wrote for the ALSJ, "I understand that the joke is a year old. I first heard it in California delivered by (comedian) Buddy Hackett".]

I followed Apollo closely (I was a college student, studying engineering), worked for NASA as a systems engineer on space systems for the last 8 1/2 years of my career and recently re-read "Carrying the Fire" by Michael Collins. I missed way more than I expected.
