On Thursday I went to a senior lunch nearby. A woman named Lillian came in. She's 91, has trouble walking, doesn't see well, and her hearing isn't very good. The woman next to her asked what the doctor said at her last visit. "He said I'm fine."
Of course she is...she's still upright, walking however she can, sees what's in her mind's eye and hears what she wants...she is still doing!!!

Yes, everything's relative.

If the doctor said “I’m fine” he was referring to himself, not her.

Perhaps she didn't want to get into the slanging match about 'who's ailments are the worst'. Few women can resist 'topping' even complete strangers with their aches and pains.
She is fine because at 91 there are very few fatal conditions you need to worry about.

I would've told her she was in good shape for the shape she was in. I had a patient a few years back who was 104. She was frail but her only required medication was a thyroid supplement. She would say: "Everyone makes such a fuss about my age - but frankly, I don't recommend it"!

I knew a woman in her 90s who used to tell people not to get old. Stupid statement. We get old, and we adjust. I'd rather be 75 right now than dead at 35.
I am a going on 96 year old vet of WW2--trple by pass-replaced heart valve--pacemaker-walking with a cane--always being told that I look 70-75- have all the aches and pains commensurate with my tru age----old age ain't for sissies--but I'm still here---GUNG -HO

He didn't finish the sentence which would read "considering your age and related issues".

I like your positive attitude and sense of humor! Keep posting so we know what's going on in your life.
I never worry about it, we all live until we die.

Obviously, you didn't understand what she was saying.

Great reasoning Minx. We all need to learn to embrace what is good in our lives and ignore the bad which we cannot change. What we can fix, we should.
