Long long time ago I thought I needed a big gun
and I have a 70-200 f-2.8 and have not used it
too even remember ... it's my trusty 24-85mm 1:2.8-4 D
Nikon AF NIKKOR THAT'S OVER TEN YEAR NOW.WOW.
and mounted on the 3100D it became a manual lense but
it's sharp as a tack and the kit lense is in the bag
with the big gun ... big ain't all ways it's your subject
that demands the lense and I look around very close cuz
I don't get around much but when in the open range YES.

get in the big wide open rack the zoom and focus 100% on
everything if you got the distance is in plane of focus
you gotta be in the big wide open at a higher point then subject ... it becomes epic but all that's on chrome
