I found a place to overnight in my little Motor Home on July 3, 2009, and woke early to find myself at the lower end of the Bighorn Mountains. Just follwong the roads to get around the mountains, I entered a little town called Ten Sleep. I was greeted by a banner at the entrance to town announcing the 4th of July Parade.
Not being interested, I passed through, and then thought I should give it another look. So, I turned back and here is a selection of the photos I took of this amazingly patriotic town. It had a population of only 400 back then. It hosts ranchers and cowpokes from a 80 mile radius and has a 4th of July population of over 3,500.
I went into the Crazy Woman Cafe for Breakfast and was greeted by 2 of the towns denizens. Wow, a great place to be!
I waited and waited for the parade to start, and took the opportunity to photo some of the other waiters. One very cute cowgirl was nervous and jittery, but later when her cowboy showed up, she calmed right down.
There are too many pictures I took to post them all, but here is a sampling of the parade! Long live Ten Sleep Wyoming.

One is for your photos and the other four for the town and peoples spirit/character.
