This is another foolish question but I haven't seen it before. Someone has to put this site together every day and I appreciate their effort. My question is there an optimal time of day to send in photos or questions so the it makes it easier for the site preparers. I really don't want to interrupt anyones nap time and I don't want anyone staying late because of a late entry and in all probability this is coming a a wrong time.

I don't know for sure but I suspect that it is mostly automated.
I doubt that anyone has to deal with each post individually.

It should be completely operated, not some schmuck having to gather the content into a daily email while somebody else makes the donuts ....
This 'gather' process operates on a 24-hour schedule, I believe based on the US East timezone with the site registered in Miami. Some of the sections limit to 25-items, so first-in / first-added is a generally applicable rule. There's also an 'interest' aspect, so if two Photo Gallery posts both occurred at 7am, the one with 100 views and 10 comments is more likely to be selected over the one with 20 views and 2 comments, assuming there was 30 total posts to the Photo Gallery against 25 'slots' in the email in the past 24 hrs.

This is an often asked question and the answer is no. UHH members are from countries all around the world, countries in most if not all time zones. Posts are added to the section you posted in at the time you post them.

This is 2019. No one is staying up late to process anything any of us does individually. Everything is pretty much automated. This is not to say that the admins are not putting in a lot of effort to keep us afloat. They are just not preparing anything in the way you are suggesting. They do occasionally move some threads to more appropriate forums, depending on the content, but no one's losing any sleep over it.
