Hard to get photographs there. Cars parked along the street,
people passing by, unstable tripod and using it for simply
supporting the camera while I followed his small boat.
Should have used faster shutter speed.

The photo looks great. No need for a faster shutter speed. You caught it well.

Thanks. I think a faster speed would better render the drops of water.
Anyway... as the boat was moving away, I could never get another shot.
You can see part of one of the large tourist boats at the right.

Nice shot. Sometimes a little blur is nice. It emphasizes the action.

Thanks, I agree but I am too critical on my stuff (photos or professional
work).

I think the eye gets attracted towards the net more than anything else -at least my eye did and did not notice anything out of focus until you pointed it out.

That was the intention. The net was my main concern and I shot a series of 5 (from
the initial throw to the moment the net was wide open.
I know I am requiring too much from such a lens that I am using for the first time.
Thanks for watching.

Still, nice capture, Anhanga.

Thank you. Fantastic ability to stand that way on the
borders of the boat and still manage to throw the net...

You did fine. Would cropping top, bottom, and right side bring out your intent even more?

Thanks. Thought about cropping but, IMO, the right side brings the
"feeling" of which kind of lens I was using and the distance from the
subject. I will try a crop for a test.
EDIT: Please, feel free to show your view. I will not be bothered.

Here's what I was thinking. It does, however, take away the distance I now see you wanted.
