Great pigeon flying performance...........But why does he have to say, "Fly or die", and carry a gun.

Cheers and Beers

Thank you for this! I had a loft of pigeons when I was a teenager in Los Angeles (~1960). A bit smaller -- I probably had 40 or 50 birds. Great memories...

I'm not sure if this is a dumb question of not, but,, do they come back? Or does he raise new ones

Yes, they come back. I always flew mine just before I restocked their food dispensers, so they're flying hungry.

And I once sold a bird that came back after a year in another loft. His new owner figured he'd stick around after a year, but nope.

They're not called homing pigeons for nothing... :)

A friend of mine owned homing pigeons and had the same mentality of you fly or you die. Several times a month we would have squab for lunch.

Used to have to mate them to get them to settle in a new loft or they would just return to their old home. I had fantails way back in my teenage years now I just feed the wild birds here in my neighborhood.

Pity it didn't choke him........Killing young home bred baby birds......to me that is disgusting, was he that hungry and hard up
