beautiful! I think you really captured *Bergen* -- you certainly stirred up memories from my trip there last year. Thank you for sharing these photos! I can practically smell the fresh air from the hike back into town and from the all the seafood being sold!!

Thank you Neo, your comments are very much appreciated. It is great to hear from someone who has been there and has good vibes from seeing it again in pictures.

I was just in Bergen two weeks ago. We boarded the Viking Sun there. I wanted to get a shot of the training ship but it left port before I could get a shot. Were you on the Viking Sun for the "Into the Midnight Sun" cruise? I took over 1600 photos and am in the process of culling them before post processing. Bergen was nice and the rest of the trip for us was fabulous. I can't wait to work on my photos from Geiranger fjord, I was up early for the float in to port. Great photos, I hope mine are half as good.

Thank you copladocus, for taking a look and commenting. We were on the last cruise for the Holland America ship Prisendam which was being sold to a German line on July 1. Our trip started and ended in Amsterdam and primarily cruised the fjords with one stop at the end in Denmark to visit the Jelling Stones. I also shot a lot of pix but not quite as many as you. It does take time to sort them out and it is hard to hit the delete button.

Nice photos of a beautiful city we visited a little over a year ago to start our cruise. We were there in the summer of 1973, but didn't see much. We took the train from Oslo to Bergen as it was supposed to be the most beautiful train rid in Europe. We rode the trains all around Europe for 11 weeks and it was our most beautiful ride. Unfortunately, our train left to go back to Oslo a couple of hours after we arrived, so we saw very little of Bergen. Many fond memories and we can't wait to go back.

We took the same cruise on the Viking Star in July 2018 and it was amazing, the best vacation we've ever had. I'm about 85% done with post processing the 2,200 photos I took and will be posting them in the near future. Geiranger fjord is the most beautiful place we've ever seen.
