Funny (well, not really...) you should mention mosquitos, Mike. Near record high river levels this year left zillions of little backwater mosquito breeding ponds, and I live closer than most in Moab to The River and the wetlands. While they're starting to taper off now, my back yard (and front deck, and front yard, and the 20' walk from my front door to my Jeep) has been a No-Go Zone since early June. Get anywhere away from the river corridor, and everything's mosquito-less and fine.

The paper today says that the west nile version has been found in Moab.

Old-ish news, but still good to know. West Nile version found Moab ten years ago. That's what led me to become the multi-billionaire retiree that I am: invested in citronella flamethrower futures early on....
