Does anyone have an XD to SD memory card adapter that they no longer need? I just re-acquired an old Fuji Finepix S5100 (that I sold to a friend 13 yrs. ago) that I want to play with but have no way to load images to my computers. I think it could be mailed at regular postage, perhaps? Until I actually see if my LR6 will process the images I hate to buy a card reader.
You can go to the Adobe site and find a list of every camera model and the RAW files supported by each and every version of Adobe software.
Went to Adobe and found that the Finepix S5000 and S5200, but not the S5100, were supported by Camera RAW. I would guess that it may still be supported, though. This 2004 bridge offered both JPEG and RAW... kinda neat for an old model bridge camera.

But, a camera dating to 2004 is likely to be supported by Adobe Lightroom v6 released in 2015.
The S5100 is listed as having a USB cable in the box. The S5100 manual at the Fuji site shows the port is a mini-B. You should find that any old USB cable will work just fine to connect the camera to the target computer. I'd check my 'cable drawer' as most everyone has USB miscellaneous cables laying around.

dmeyer!
I have several older Fujifilm bridge cameras as well which my wife still uses to this day, one's a 7MP while the newer one is about 10MP. I remembered that my wife's S700 could also use a xD, or a SD card in the same slot as they are both similar in width but the xD is half the height. Anyhow, I googled your camera S5100 for its specs and with the CNET entry: https://www.cnet.com/products/fujifilm-finepix-s5100/specs/ way down on the page, states that your camera also accepts both xD and SD cards! So just try a SD card. My wife's S700 (7MP is currently using a 16MP SD card). Hope this helps! Be well! Certainly, it would be more comforting to see the ... (show quote)
So you are saying the USB cable does not have to be brand specific--just the correct size? My friend gave me the manual, but not the cable and I don't have any 'leftovers'.

Yes, exactly. A generic mini-b cable is all you need, one from your old phone, printer, HD drive, music device, etc, etc.

Thanks so much for making the effort to research this for me, Ed. I looked at the CNET link but didn't see what you were seeing. But I did try the SD card--as you said, the width is about the same--but the length keeps the cover from closing. Guess I'll have to rely on the adapter, or a cable if I can find one.
