Yesterday we attended the annual reunion of Paul's mother's side of the family at Rancho Barnette. For someone like me who comes from a very small family the size of the party was impressive - a great bunch of people!

Very nice bird, Pat. Our kitchen windows from the outside must look like trees with bird feeders hanging from them. We often have bird strikes against them, and if we’re sitting with our morning coffee the loud “THUMP!” can be quite startling. Most times it’s a body blow and there might be evidence of what hit and caused the sound.
Such as a little breast plumage left behind stuck to the outside.

But, sometimes if they lead with their beak the outside pane may end up with a chip off the inside laying between the double panes.
