Nice set. #2 looks like a cross between a wasp, a moth, and a dragonfly.

Thanks Ken! That's how it gets away with flying around in the daytime. I think it's got a little crayfish in it too.

Correction:

OOps! Just when I think I'm getting to know them....That is a female Common White-tail.(Plathemis lydia) Similar to the 12 spotted, but the stripes on the abdomen are different. Especially on S1 to S4. Compare the maculations on the wings and the white thoracic stripe.
Sometimes I get in too much of a hurry.
