Not technically true. The globe has been warming fairly steadily for the last 20,000 years. I heard recently that average temperatures are up 11 degrees Farenheit over that period, which is over 1/2 degree of warming every thousand years. (Oh, the humanity!)

Very little of that warming can be traced to SUV emissions. Still, the result has been that the area in North America north of the Missouri and Ohio rivers IS NO LONGER COVERED BY ICE, and can now be used to grow FOOD for people. And I believe the same is true for the rest of the northern hemisphere. (Although there are some quarters in academia that think this is not a good thing.)

I'm thinking of going looking for a 6-gallon flush toilet to replace a low-flow model that apparently is no longer needed to save the planet. Just for starters.
