In the course of trawling the internet I came upon this:
“When a candidate for public office faces the v**ers he does not face men of sense; he faces a mob of men whose chief distinguishing mark is the fact that they are quite incapable of weighing ideas, or even of comprehending any save the most elemental — men whose whole thinking is done in terms of emotion, and whose dominant emotion is dread of what they cannot understand. So confronted, the candidate must either bark with the pack or be lost... All the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum. The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”
― H.L. Mencken

Somehow, and I really can't remember how, I seem to have subscribed to the Tea Party's email list.
Without wanting to offend anyone (and no doubt will) is the hysteria that it displays really an example of how the GOP behaves, or is it just a small proportion of them?
I want to get on the Democratic list to see how they behave.
No snide comments about UK politics please, it's hard enough being on this side of the Atlantic as it is.

Obviously.
Democracy is far from perfect; it is dangerous.

I hope you realise that Boris was born in New York! So give it a few years and

Boris for President

Don't see why you can't suffer as well

Democracy we aren’t.

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb deciding what’s for dinner.

Read a book.

Why not worry about your own country and not ours? You need to get on a list to see how democrats behave? We don't diss your Royal Family, so don't diss our government. Keep it at home.

As a matter of curiosity, are you a Republican?
In the rest of the world we have an interest in both home and international affairs, including the twists and turns of the American e******n system AND the behaviour of both Democrats and Republicans.
No one is dissing your government, you are welcome to it.

What I am tired of is people from the UK analyzing and disrespecting our leaders and our country, while it is clear you guys have a host of problems that need YOUR attention. You don't see us butting into your country's politics and disrespecting your leaders.

If you have an interest in our country and how it works, which is the greatest country on earth, read a book and learn.

1. Liars, Leakers and Liberals, Jeanine Pirro
2. Death of a Nation, Politics and the Democratic Party, Dinesh D'Souza
3. Unfreedom of the Press, Mark Levin
4. Radicals, Resistance and Revenge: The Left's Plot to Remake America, Jeanine Pirro
5. Ship of Fools, Tucker Carlson
6. The Deep State, Jason Chaffetz
7. Bullies: How the Left's Culture of Fear and Intimidation Silences Americans, Ben Shapiro

There are many more, and I don't think you will read any of them because your mind set is liberal.

See, there you have to go and be an ASS, you have your own problems on that side of the Atlantic, in fact how about we have a conversation about London the city's politic, and then move on to Brexit and discuss the pros and cons of your nation retaining its sovereignty.

Don't think that will work for a liberal, they just want to insert their noses where it doesn't belong and then expound on what they think......more like what they have been told to think.
