I was at the printer yesterday to have a few prints made for an upcoming auction. I noted to the owner that he had a new Fuji "commercial" printer and I wondered how he liked it. HE showed me a print that he had done as an example a 19X 16 or something like that. It was simple awesome the detail and the color was perfect. It was a photo shot on the door step of his business location. He told me that the Fuji sales rep had stopped by to see how it was going with the new printer and had shot the photo with the Fuji 50mp camera.
Outstanding is what I can say both the image shot with the camera and the print produced by the printer, which by the way is an ink jet printer. Of course it would take a pick-up truck to move as it is pretty big as all his printers are. Much of what he uses are Epsom commercial printers which are also very large. He does everything in house and not just prints. All kinds of products you can print your photograph's on including by not limited to Metal, glass, canvas and all kinds of trinkets...
At least he is able to stay in business I have been dealing with him for over 30 years and two years ago he said that he was giving up the camera business and going full bore into photo processing...
At $5,499 (plus lenses) one would expect it to be perfect. A camera for commercial photographic use.

The Fuji GFX50 is a niche product and right now, is an "entry-level" medium format camera at $4000 for the body alone.
but not much more than other camera with 50 mp that are not as bug sensor wise, any way i'm sure the pictures are great, so niche as it is I'm sure their will be buyers, . its cheap vs the Hasselblads.

My friend at the print shop said they have a 100MP body...I have to agree with you on the niche product. Exclusively commercial! But beautiful none the less...
Anyone in the market for a Leaf Aptus 80 MP Phase One AF camera system with 3 lenses?? Just wondering as I plan to take some pics of it and put it on eBay. Just in case, dasemail41@yahoo.com. If interested I'll send some pictures of each item and the original case for the Leaf back is included along with a 1510 Pelican case with padded camera insert. The case has been used but the camera system is in excellent ++ condition and has hardly been used. It's too heavy for me but if I were 40 years younger I'd keep it.
Thanks, David

The GFX100 is a beautifully designed and executed medium format system. The body alone is $10,000 and with a good suite of lenses, will get you into the $30,000 system cost range.
