I missed the point . . . Until I read the post of someone who didn’t.
Prime Day is March 14th! Don't let Bozo take it away. I'll shoot zooms for Bezos and primes on the REAL Prime Day.

PS Shouldn't we have some "Thus Spake Zarathustra" for the 2001 UHH edition?

I thought Prime meant use your Amazon Prime credit card at Whole Foods and only buy prime beef, then earn extra points to be used toward your next prime lens.

I've been considering a prime lens for my Z6. Will there be specials on Prime Day?

You can hope for Prime Day camera specials, but they are few and far between imho.

Just wondering --- Amazon is celebrating "Prime Day" on Mon & Tues, July 15 & 16. I'm thinking this might be a good time to give my zoom lenses a day off and dust off my old Prime Lenses for a spin around town. Anybody with me on this?
Gotta love “primes” any day.
Cheers!

FWIW, the edifice shown below is known

Prime". IIRC this was shot with a zoom ;-)
I’m not certain Amazon is actually interested in what lenses we use, but more inclined to sell you a new lens you didn’t really need.
Cheers!
No matter the reason given by Amazon or elsewhere, I use primes about 90% of the time ever since I stopped shooting sports. Even when I take my camera into the Miami Dolphins games, I use the new Nikon 300mm F4 since the largest lens they will allow through the gate. When I was shooting high school sports, I used the 80-200 most of the time. Now it's my 85mm for my family shots, a 40 and 58 as walk arounds, the 300mm when walking around the lake for bird shots and a 20mm for landscapes. Everyone has their preference of course, lately mine has been nothing but primes.

Which prime lens is best to take a pic of a big river in South America?

I will concede March 14 as Pi Day and as Prime Rib Day at Appalachian State University. Other than that, I don't really think that Zarathustra ate steak.

One whose taste the piranha prefer over you.
That was pretty emphatic, Bill. Did you sell-off all your primes?
I could try a prime day with my Nikkor 85 1.8D. Could be interesting to see things through for the day.
