I've been worried about predators (we have a bald eagle that cruises the lake, some turtles and large northerns.) I had no idea that the chicks might do that. Fortunately, these two little guys seem like buddies.

I know that can happen! We recently had a snapping turtle that crawled up into our driveway to lay eggs. I hope their paths don't cross.
