Amazon has a 32GB SanDisk Ultra and a Calumet 32 GB SanDisk Ultra listed. Both are speed 10. What is the difference except the price? Thanks in advance.

One's on sale?
One company is using it as a loss leader?
Calumet probably stock theirs from Sandisk, who is stocking the Amazon chip?

DO NOT PURCHASE MEMORY CARDS FROM AMAZON. A lot of them are counterfeit. I only purchase memory from local camera stores.

Read/write speed is one difference. I have found that the cheap memory cards are just not worth the aggravation. Plus they do not play well with the cameras. Sometimes the camera can’t even see the card.

I just ordered this card yesterday from Amazon. I have used them before and found them adequate. It will work well with my 5DIV. :

Calumet was/is a large Camera store in Chicago with over 30 stores in 5 countries. They went bankrupt and the name etc was bought by the company that owns Ritz and other camera store brands. From time to time they attempted to reopen a store near Chicago and they sell on line through Amazon etc.
How much can you trust their stuff????? The original had a great reputation. The new reincarnation who knows. But if you read the fine print on their Amazon ad it says "fulfilled by Amazon" so Amazon backs them and their stuff - usually means you can trust them.

The Calumet cards are also "free shipping" - means shipping is built into the price already.

As stated just being sold on special by a vendor for whatever reason - overstock, slow sales, works on slimmer profits, etc. And if one looks at the ratings, reads the latest posts, and view the other details, knowing you can return to Amazon with free shipping if not as represented, one can ignore comments like "DON'T BUY FROM AMAZON" because many high quality stores sell thru them - Adorama, etc.

One incident of a bad supply that happened a year ago hardly qualifies as "a lot".

That's fine, if you don't mind a drive of several hours.

Companies shouldn't be allowed to sell their name. Abe's of Maine was a very good store before it sold the business. Now, it's a joke, but the former good name remains.

I no longer buy batteries or sd cards from Amazon. Lots of counterfeits. Amazon always makes good though. My daughter read articles about Amazon not caring about it. It's built into their business model. Most people just toss the items away because of the bother to return a $10 or $15 item. They count on that. Since they now collect sales tax, there is not much incentive to buy from them. Local stores don't usually sell counterfeit goods. BTW, many of Amazon products are counterfeit.

I'm glad for you. How long ago did you buy them? With Payboo, it's BH for me.
