It was a little breezy so the focus might be a touch off, and the flower is a little over the hill,

But, I wanted to post this flower because it's not very common (at least in CO)

Very nice. I haven't seen these either. Might have to go to the greenhouse to see if they would grow here. It is on my list! Thanks for showing us!

If it will grow in CO, it will definitely grow in Ohio.

Yes they are lovely. I have been given some seeds to try and get them to grow, so here's hoping

A friend recently posted a photo of one on Face Book - said it is a Datura. I'd never seen one before. (Your photo is better than my friend's!)

Very nice rendition---good PP work and I don't think it's over the top. That's the nice thing about florals, you can do what you want because nature in itself is so beautiful it's hard to recognize "over the top"...........

This is an Angel Trumpet. They are a simpler flower than the one your showing...some call yours a devil trumpet but its actually named a Daytura, but it is in the angel trumpet family, both are gorgeous and poisonous.

Factoid-

The Devil Trumpet and Angel Trumpet are different in one way-

The flowers of the Angel Trumpet point downward, as if someone were blowing from above.

The flowers of the Devil Trumpet point up, as if someone were blowing from below.

BTW-

The plants are available in either single or double blooms. The doubles are gaudy in a good flower-ful way.
