Schwabacher's Landing on the first days of Summer and still snow in the hight country. It was a 19 degree start on the morning June 23, 2019.
John, very nice capture. Beautiful early morning lighting and glow to the clouds. One of my all time favorite spots. I'll probably be working that scene when I'm there in the autumn.
Thanks Monte, I hope the weather is a little warmer for your trip. June 21 we had a blizzard that covered the ground in less than 15 minutes and two days later going to Oxbow Bend the car was reading 19 degrees all on the first days of Summer.

Great shot.
(Sorry, I missed where Schwabacher's Landing is located.)
Thanks Longshadow, It is in Grand Teton National Park.

Thanks, and from a comfort perspective I agree. Standing at Oxbow for a couple hours starting before dawn for the sunrise progression on the autumn aspens does make the teeth chatter when it is really cold. On the other hand, cold weather makes the animals kick into high gear that time of year and a little fresh snow on the mountains is nice.
I'm glad you were able to enjoy a visit in June. That's a nice time of year in the Tetons. Some of my best Schwabacher's shots were taken in the summer. Later in the year, there's a lot of algae that forms in the shallow foreground ponds which messes up the shot.
I have some winter shots there but the summer shots are better.

WOW, John. I got there too late to "get the gold" you got. Super shot.
Thanks F4, When did you get there?
