Organizer on Photoshop 12

When I go to the Organizer, I am unable to bring up any photos. A message appears which says "Waiting for catalog to be loaded." I wait and wait but no photos appear; instead, the area becomes frozen and I can't click my cursor or move any sliders. The only way I can escape is by logging off. I am completely frustrated and would welcome any suggestions.

I went to your link and the first thing I tried to do was remove the previous versions of PSE on my computer. I have Elements 9 and 11 and I tried to remove them but I don't think I succeeded. I also went to File on my Organizer, then Manage Catalogs and tried to click "Repair" but it was greyed out so that failed. I really think I should try to contact Adobe Technical Support and try to get someone to take over my computer to fix my Organizer. I'm 85 years old and not too swift with computers or Elements. Can you give me a phone number I can call to try to arrange this? I'd be very grateful if you could! Gene

Adobe recommends a minimum of 6 gig of RAM, you’re better off with 16. Also, be sure you restored your old Catalogue properly when you went from 11 to 12. I had no problem going from 11 to 14. First do a Full Backup using your PSE 11 routine. Then use the PSE 12 Restore routine to load the backed-up Catalogue. I’ve read that having multiple versions of Elements on the same computer will not cause problems.

I have Elements 13, 14, 15 and 2018 all installed at once and they all continue to work fine.

I only have 8GB RAM on my I7 computer and have both Elements 11 and 15 on it with no problems.
