Went into my garage this morning ...

… and heard that unmistakable sound, a Hummingbird. I opened the doors and windows but it wouldn't leave. Their usual escape is straight up like a rocket. This one kept flying around the ceiling. I brought a feeder in and as it must have been hungry the bird went to it pretty quickly. After eating and flying around a bit more, while sitting on top of the feeder, it spotted the open back door as the doorway to freedom.

Oh, yes, I am glad you were able to feed him, Bill. The birds are used to people everywhere because we feed them - in the South in winter or in the summer when they fly North.
They also have a good memory.
When my feeders are empty, or the "attack" Rufous hummingbird comes and claims the feeders, the Broadtail birds fly inside my tent asking for help. They certainly can communicate.
You may see this bird visitting your garage again.

What a great way to start the day Bill. You will have to start charging board and lodge. Love the story and excellent shots.
