I've seen this from tests launched from Vandenberg AFB which is 300 miles away from my location. However this normally only produces a plume behind the rocket, could it be a combination of lens flare and a rocket? I do like the idea of a starship kicking on its FTL drive however.
I didn't see anything that was unusual when I took the shot.

Yes, sure looks like lens flare to me, shooting with a small aperture at relatively long exposure times and directing the camera straight into a light will do that (with that dark background it sure displays beautifully in all its colors and shapes)!
