Converting a dof movie file to a JPEG file

I handws my phone tol a person to take a picture. she accidentally took a two second video. the picture is exactly what I need but how do I convert it to a JPEG file so I can print it?

Play video and take a screenshot snap. On most Android phones you hold your volume button and off button down at same time.

It was taken with my Nikon 5100 not a phone camera

Sorry, your original post said you handed your PHONE to her and she took video.

You can do the same thing on a computer... play or pause video, then take a screen snap (Alt+Print Screen on PC) then paste into any photo software (Ctrl+V).

If you have Photoshop you can do it in there and then clean up the frame capture.

If you open a video with Windows there is an edit option to make a still photo.

VLC player is a great tool for this kind of thing. It includes a print single frame feature.

VLC video player has a snapshot function. Just advance the video to the spot you want, pause it, and use the snapshot function. By dragging the ball at the end of the timeline when the video is paused, you can move the video forward or bakward in small increments. Most video editors allow you to move the video a frame at a time and also have a snapshot function.
