10 Stops!? Are you sure that is what you need before spending for such a pricey item? Do you plan to use it more than once? A specialty / special project filter. Oddly, I don't even know those brands. Hopefully you will get some helpful advice.

Hey Jim I have played with my nd filters very little
But what I was able to do is stack a few filters to get close to the 10 stop. Also a polarizing filter adds a couple stops too
Work for me I have Cokin slide in style filters

Neither. Look at the Lee Filter system and the 10x Big Stopper. It depends on they type of photography you engage in. If you are a snapshooter, or SOOC devotee, prob not much application. For those of us who view capturing the image as the beginning of the process, a lot

I carry mine with me, and use it all the time where the composition warrants.

I got one of these. This from the EOS magazine shop, a shop of the beaten track that is a supplement to the magazine of the same name. I've only used it once but was quite pleased with the results for the expenditure, whilst accepting it's no BW.

Jim, my filter collection is slowly migrating towards B+W. I have one of their 10 stop filters and love the results I've obtained with it, and their other filters. There are other aspects of their design that is exceptionally useful.

I agree. On-line videos on how to use them. You may be able to buy a used one as well.

Many professionals use the 3 or 6 stops filter for the majority of their assignments. Breakthrough is a great quality filter and it is neutral in color. I paid around $100 for mine and I do not regret my purchase.
It has been said, you do not need a 10 stop ND filter and do not buy the variable one or you will regret it.

One thing I forgot to mention is that you can't focus through an ND10, so you focus, then put the filter on. This makes the filters in independent holders easier to use. You need to hold the lens rock steady whilst you put on a threaded one.
