My wife's German Shepherd she had when we were dating liked to jump up on the back of the couch by the front door and would be quiet until someone opened the door. Then he would look around the door frame and give a fairly quiet little "woof". But this was from a very large German shepherd standing on the back of a couch so his head was a bit over 6' up. They worried that one day someone would have a heart attack when George did that.

My mother had twin door bell a few years ago but due to age when she died l could not keep them where l am staying at now had to give them to Humane Society. I really miss those door bells to this day. Wish l could have kepted them to this day.
