Why are you deviating from the question?

(When the math teacher asked what is 2+4? Did you ask why she didn't use 1+5? )

I deleted my suggestions.... I was bad and drifted from the rules by suggesting another lens not on the list. Math teachers didn't like be either.

H - Olympus 17mm f1.8 (why was this great lens overlooked?)
A - Panasonic 25mm f1.4 (incorrectly described by the OP as “24mm”)
D - Olympus 120mm f2.8 Macro

I don't own "H", which is why it wasn't listed.
The "A" lens I listed is a Panasonic Summilux 12mm f1.4 lens, which in 35mm equivalence is 24mm, not 25mm. Perhaps you misunderstood?
Thanks.

UPDATE:
So far, "lsimpkins" is winning the challenge. He has listed 3 of the 7 lenses listed in priority order.

Wonder if anybody will beat him by listing all 7 in order?

Other lenses not listed 'cause I don't own them. Weight/size not a factor.

Thanks!!

I wouldn't use (take) all seven, only the ones I listed...

Was going by manufacturer’s designated name for the lenses. So I take it your “120mm” has a mfrs marketing name of 60mm? If not, I’m not the one who is confused. Cheers!

I don't fit your specifications and I wouldn't take any of those lenses. I'd take my 28-300 and my D800e.

Unfortunately the challenge was not "what would you take", but "of these listed, ...".

Here is the scenario:
1. You are an advanced amateur photographer; some may call you an enthusiast.
2. You frequently take cruises to the Med, Asia, Europe, and South America.
3. You enjoy taking street and travel photos, and sometimes long shots from the cruise ship as it arrives/departs ports.
4. When on "shore excursions", you enjoy being in the cities and restaurants, but not hiking or nature walks or kayaking. Lots of photos inside churches, museums, restaurants, and popular spots in the urbam scene, with an almost even mix of day and night.
5. You don't like rain, hate snow, and prefer temperatures above 50°F.
6. You have a Panasonic GX-9 micro 4/3 camera, a flash that can be used on or off (wifi or bluetooth) camera (GN 127) and a bunch of lenses (see below).
7. You will not have a tripod, but your camera has internal stabilization, as do some of your lenses.

7. THE CHALLENGE:
RANK ALL lenses, In priority order by letter, your choice of lenses to take on your next Mediterranean cruise.
You must choose ONLY from the list, using only the letters, without further comment.
Focal lengths are ALL listed in 35mm equivalent format in order to eliminate confusion. (2x crop factor, etc.)

LENSES:
A. Pany 24mm f1.4
B. Pany 14-28mm f4
C. Pany 24-70mm f2.8
D. Oly 120mm f2.8 macro
E. Pany 85mm f1.2
F. Pany 70-200mm f2.8
G. Pany 200-600mm f3.5-5.6

Your letter ranking should be based on the usefullness for the scenario given, without considering weight or size. You will be taking few, if any, portrait or landscape shots; you will be takimg some food shots in restaurants.

ANSWER EXAMPLE:
C
A
B
F
D
E
G

Can't wait to see the responses to this, especially from those who have lived thru a similar scenario.!!
Thanks for stepping up to the challenge!
Here is the scenario: br 1. You are an advanced am... (show quote)

I don't know anything about your camera or it's lenses - But my wife & myself go on numerous overseas trip & I love to take photographs == So for me it's all about angle of view I have a full frame camera ---
Lenses I take are 4 in number 1)24mm 1.4; 2)35mm 1.4; 3)85mm 1.8 (If I had a 1.4 version I'd sure take that) & 4) 100-400mm with EF 1.4 II -- I also take a light tripod for night shots
If your actually going -- Have fun & take & post lots of shots
PS: Not a big fan of silly "what would take games"

Here is what I originally posted. Perhaps you missed it.

So, yes, the Oly is a 60mm f2.8 Macro, according to the M43 (Micro Four Thirds) format of expressing focal length. Since most UHH'ers are Nikon or Canon folks, I wanted to express the focal lengths in the 35mm format to make it easier to understand. Sorry you were confused.
