Got my new camera today

Not too long ago someone had suggested that perhaps it was time for me to get a different camera due to mine being 10 + years old. I was very fortune to have received one today; A Finepix S4500. Has anyone here used or presently own one of these? I will have to do a lot of reading and take a few shots before I can feel comnfortabile with any new camera. So expect to see some BETTER shots sent in from me in the near future.

I used a FinePix S5200 for several years befor I upgraded to a DSLR. I still have this camera, and on ocassion still like to shoot with it. I think that you will really like your new camera. Shoot lots and enjoy.

Buddy, I just read everything that Fuji has on their website about this camera...WOW!!! You are getting a huge bang for the buck here. I could not believe this list of features on this little jewel. How about the SP mode, check this out...
"Smile & Shoot...
Automatically triggers the shutter button and takes a photo only when smile is detected."
Very cool as is so many of the other things about this camera.

Yes Wrr.... I was really glad that it has that feature. My wife is a very beautiful lady but for some reason I have a hard time getting her to smile. It has gotten to the point that I hesitate to even take her picture anymore. Now....if she don't smile she don't git no picture. HAHAHAHA LOl

You are indeed a lucky man, your wife has a lovely smile and I'm sure you'll get many great pictures of her!

dpreview.com gives it 4 out of 5 stars. It zooms to 720mm, has EVF, and is powered by AA batteries. Sounds pretty nice to me. Congratulations.

Thanks Mogul...I still have not used it but most likely will this weekend. A little hesitant as I always am when I have something new in hand.
