Shortly after the 2017 tax law was passed, people began to chortle how their withholding taxes had decreased and there were cheers for lowered taxes. Then fast forward to 2018 tax filing season and people began moaning about their reduced tax refunds. The kicker for many people was the loss of the $4050 personal exemption. Then there were the limits on the deductibles, partly offset by doubled Standard Deduction. In our family case, with income increase of about 3% our refund fell by about 50%. To see how you stand figure the net tax, tax paid as a % of adjusted gross income and compare with prior years. If you use TurboTax or most other tax softwares, this is done for you. Some will see a reduction, others an increase. None are equal under the tax laws.

Did you not get a tax cut as the rest of us did? You Liberals tell us that nobody was affected but the big corporations yet most Americans did receive a tax cut and made good use of it. How did you miss that? Perhaps you should contact your closest Liberal representative to find out why you did not receive your tax cut.

You'd have to be a 3rd grade i***t not to understand that rolling the taxes back on all Americans would have a significant impact.

First off....401k's, IRA's, and probably pension plans would all take a hit because surely this would result in a bear market and those investment instruments are all in on the stock market.

Secondly - the average person got at least several hundred dollars paid to them over the course of the year. They could save or spend it. Might not sound like much for an individual but for a country full of them it pumped billions into the economy and we know what that leads to....

Third - J-O-B-S !!! Trumps tax cut is directly responsible for reducing the number of unemployed and thereby increasing the number of taxpayers. Win-win! It certainly doesn't hurt that there have been a half million new manufacturing jobs. These are jobs that take materials and add value to them. The only thing better than Manufacturing would be something like Farming, Mining, F****l f**ls that all create value from dirt.

Roll back the taxes and most of those improvements are wiped out.

I want to see what happens next when government starts getting slashed.
